Workshop Series
Blue Heron offers movement arts classes in series, providing ongoing learning for students in one particular technique. Workshop classes are for the current series and dates listed. If you miss a class in the series, make up classes may be offered at the discretion and availability of the teacher. Yoga Fundamentals

An interactive class designed for those new to yoga or who would like to revisit the fundamentals. This workshop is designed as a series of 5, one hour sessions that provide a foundation of basic yoga principles, poses, and alignment. Personal attention is given to each student to increase body awareness and to provide proper alignment tools to empower the new student. Provides a foundation of basic yoga principles, poses and alignment, including breath work and meditation. Blocks of five sessions can be purchased and are recommended before advancing to other classes. No Class July 5. Registration $70.
Progressive Pilates

This a great class to take your Pilates workout to the next level. We will use an array of props ( the ring of fire, the sculpting ball, and bands) to enhance the Pilates mat work and sculpt the body. Pre-Natal Series

Join our 6-Week Pre-Natal Yoga Mama Series with certified yoga instructor Carrie Ganz. During this series, you will learn to use yoga’s mind/body awareness to connect with your own innate wisdom, body and your growing baby during the magical journey of pregnancy. Pre-natal yoga will assist you in strengthening the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. This practice can also help alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica. Our warm and supportive community will allow you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. Pilates Core Challenge

Bellydancing

This 6-week series offers a traditional belly dance class plus chi gong inspired moving meditations, or "Bellygong". Experience meditative mind, a great work out and the joyous community experience of tribal-style belly dance all in one class. This class is Basics level, suitable for new and returning students. Baby and Me

Baby and Me is for new and continuing moms and their babies (newborns to precrawlers). The class uses yoga poses to help Mom rebuild core tone and strength lost during pregnancy, to reestablish balance within moms’ bodies and lives, strengthening back and opening heart to encourage proper alignment for daily activities such as nursing and carrying the baby and the diaper bag. The class also offers instruction on infant massage and gentle body manipulation to give mom new tools to calm and soothe her new baby and to stimulate babies’ developing bodies and systems. Each class ends with quiet time for moms and babies. Introductory Registration Fee: $96.

Intro to Kettlebells: Dynamic Strength Training
